JYM alumni Stammtisch in München 2022!

Once COVID restrictions were finally lifted, the JYM Stammtisch in Munich was able to meet up again in 2022! We had our first meeting in the Spring at the Frühlingsfest and a second one in July at the Biergarten.

The Munich International Networking Groups (MING) normally holds an event every year at Frühlingsfest in the Theresienwiese at the end of April called the Bavarian-American Friendship Day. This is organized by David Dorian Dowdy of Triple D Events. It includes such groups as Democrats Abroad, German-American Business Club and AAUPW. JYM students are also always invited to the event. They enjoy networking and dancing (sometimes on the tables) to Linda Rizzo and the local band which plays every year. This year the JYM alumni Stammtisch crew joined the event as well!

In July, we had a group of nearly 15 JYM alumni join us for a Stammtisch at the Chinesischen Turm Biergarten in the English gardens. The usual Stammtisch members were happy to welcome JYM donor, Steve Stambaugh (JYM 1971-72) (in photo front right), who was in town visiting from Florida! He enjoyed meeting the local alumni!
