JYM attends German American Business Council of Michigan Fall Gala
The Junior Year in Munich Program (JYM) and Wayne State University were proud bronze sponsors of the 2023 annual dinner of the German American Business Council of Michigan (GABC).
The Detroit Athletic Club hosted this year's event in GABC's 29th year as Michigan’s leading trade organization between Germany and the State of Michigan. Speakers shared various insights on the emerging field of artificial intelligence: “How Artificial Intelligence influences all of our lives, what opportunities emerge and what conflicts may arise with human interest.”
Representing the Detroit JYM team were Charlie Collins (JYM 19-20, 2020 B.A. in Urban Studies, German, University Honors from WSU, currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at U of Michigan), Professor Farshad Fotouhi from the WSU computer science department, JYM Program Coordinator Jackie Smith Krystyniak and JYM Program Director Lisabeth Hock.
Also in attendance was Daniel Brickley (JYM 08-09, 2010 B.A. in Environmental Studies and Biology from U Penn, now an account executive with EMO Trans Inc in Romulus, Michigan.
